The Medical Information (MI) Therapeutic Area Lead (TA) is a leadership role accountable for reponding to unsolicited MI inquiries from Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and patients in Europe and Canada (EUCAN) on the products aligned to the TA(s) in accordance with Pfizer Policies and Processes and prevailing regulations, and against key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality measures. The role collaborates with key partners including EUCAN MI Customer Experience, EUCAN Medical Affairs for the TA(s) and International MI & Review Operations, identifies insights and analyses MI inquiry trends, supports launch excellence, Pfizer customer engagement strategy and digital engagement across various channels. What You Will Achieve In this role, you will: Lead a team of 6-7 Medical Information Scientists (MIS) aligned to the TA(s). Ensure the delivery of EUCAN MI service for the TA(s) against agreed objectives and KPIs (e.g., turnaround time). Oversee the quality of MI responses to EUCAN escalated inquiries and of MI response documents in the TA(s) in ensuring that responses are medically and scientifically accurate, timely, balanced, and meet customers’ needs. Provide technical and functional guidance to MIS on second-line MI processes. Ensure the mentoring and training of new MIS aligned to the TA(s). Contribute to improvement initiatives to optimize MI processes and ways of working. Participates in and/or leads projects designed to achieve organizational goals. Aligns with International and Global counterparts to ensure an open exchange of TA activities, insights and best practices. Handle EUCAN MI inquiries escalated by EUCAN MI frontline (Customer Experience) and supports the development and maintenance of MI response documents in the TA(s). Ensure the development and delivery of product overview and resources for the EUCAN Customer Experience teams. Drive annual MI operating plans, including EUCAN launch readiness activities in the TA(s). Work with EUCAN MI Operations and International MI & Review Operations to ensure the availability, accuracy, and maintenance of relevant MI content on applicable EUCAN digital platforms, tools and channels. Analyse inquiry data to identify trends and insights. Partner with key EUCAN TA Medical Affairs and relevant stakeholders to ensure sharing of customer insights, to support product launches, and HCP & patient needs in EUCAN. Share updates with EUCAN MI Leadership Team. Contribute to audit/inspection readiness. Adheres to applicable regulatory and company policies/guidelines. Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements) BS in Pharmacy or a related field. Masters in Science with MBA, PhD, PharmD, or MD preferred. Pharmaceutical industry experience and success working in a highly matrixed environment. Proven Medical Information experience preferred, with medical writing and secondline/MIS experience at senior level advantageous Specific TA(s) expertise preferred, and solid understanding of pertinent disease states. Knowledge of pharmaceutical legislation and guidelines within Europe and Canada markets. Knowledge of Legal and Regulatory environment and its impact on the pharmaceutical industry. Change agility, collaboration, problem solving skills, ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel, respond to tight timelines, and meet changing priorities. Experience working in a multi-cultural virtual environment, with global or regional responsibilities highly preferred. Analytical capabilities combined with planning skills. High level of proficiency in both written and spoken English Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with computer and software applications (i.e., Microsoft office), Generative AI tools and keyboarding skills Closing Statement This position holds a UK Grade 14, GJL90.
