Head of Production Technicians at SFL Group
The Role Summary
The Equipment Dispatch Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the prep of equipment for internal clients and dry hires. This role involves the hands-on leadership of a team of technicains, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely equipment turnaround to support high quality event delivery.
Reporting to the Equipment Operations Supervisor, the Team Leader receives prep lists and is responsible for planning, scheduling, and assigning tasks to team members to ensure all deadlines are met. Operating in a player-coach capacity, the Team Leader works alongside the team in the warehouse while maintaining oversight of progress, standards and quality.
The Team Leader serves as the first point of contact for technical queries during prep and is expected to resolve issues such as missing or incompatible equipment. They are also responsible for ensuring team productivity, contributing to the development of SOPs, suggesting improvements to process and systems, maintaining KPIs, and promoting a safe, tidy and well-organised working environment alongside other warehouse departments.
This role may also involve line management of warehouse team members.
The Role
* Lead the team in prepping and testing equipment ready for events.
* Work individually and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Liaise with internal clients to understand requirements and implementing alternative equipment as needed.
* Monitor team performance and drive improvements in operational efficiency.
* Train, mentor, and support the development of team members.
* Foster a positive team culture by providing day-to-day guidance, feedback, and support.

* Working knowledge of industry standard audio, video and lighting systems.
* Accomplished knowledge of rental management systems (ideally Hirehop).
Qualifications or experience
* 3 years demonstrable industry experience.
