The Team

Ward 3R is a 26 Bed acute rehabilitation ward within the Launceston General Hospital. 3R focuses on providing acute rehabilitation to patients in northern Tasmania with a strong multidisciplinary focus and patient centred care approach. Care includes an individualised multidisciplinary assessment and goal-based management plans. All our team members work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare and to achieve improved outcomes for our patients, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.


The Role

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) on Ward 3R will work collaboratively and effectively with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), and will promote a patient focused model of care, coordinate the flow of patient/client care delivery, work closely with the multidisciplinary team, and assist the NUM in providing effective leadership within the acute rehabilitation area.


You will need

* Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and work with minimal supervision.
* Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in the pursuit of patient goals within a contemporary healthcare framework.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols

Details of appointment

Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing from 21 December 2025.

Salary

Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
