A fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer Manager has arisen at a Cambridge-based, cutting edge, leading electronics product development company whose innovative technology is reshaping a myriad of different industry sectors.
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will join a dynamic, friendly and driven team helping to shape and define manufacturing engineering processes, equipment, vision and strategy.
This role will see you responsible for line management, production support activities, equipment sustainment and development, overseeing QMS related activities and departmental planning and budgeting.
This role would suit a hands-on Engineer who has developed a career in manufacturing engineering and has good management skills and enjoys a dynamic environment. Ideally you will have experience of working in an automated or semi-automated manufacturing environment.

Requirements of Manufacturing Engineer Manager:
Your skills and experience should include:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
Recent and relevant experience in a management role, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Prior to that, you will have experience of working in a hands-on Engineering capacity.
Very strong organisational and project management skills in order to meet the multi-faceted and dynamically changing demands of the role.
A meticulous approach to work with a strong eye for detail.
The ability to influence, train and mentor colleagues.
It would be advantageous, but not required, to have:
Experience with automation systems, ideally with a technical background in the same.
Experience operating within an ISO9001 environment (or similar).
Experience planning and budgeting at a group / departmental level, and in tracking progress against targets.
