Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our client in Bath who are actively seeking to engage a Caretaker to join their team on a permanent basis.
What you will be doing:
As Caretaker, in this vital role you will be responsible for the upkeep of school premises.
* Assist in the locking up of premises, setting security alarm systems and assisting in responding to alarm call outs
* Undertake site cleaning (interior and exterior) including restocking consumables
* Complete all records and documentation as required including testing and managing fire alarms / safety systems
* Report building, fixtures and fittings and maintenance issues accordingly
* Escort contractors and service engineers on site ad report on the quality of work performed
* Ensure compliance with H&S and security regulations
What you will need to succeed:
* Proven track record in a similar role, ideally from an educational setting
* Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
* Due to the nature of the role you will be required to have a reasonable level of fitness (lifting, climbing ladders etc)
* A good level of IT knowledge
