Our client, a prominent educational institution in Rochdale, Lancashire, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time SEN Classroom Support Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs.

As a Full-time SEN Classroom Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting and empowering students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive the individualized attention and care they require to thrive. Based in Rochdale, Lancashire, you will be responsible for assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, as well as providing one-on-one support to students with special educational needs.

The successful candidate will possess a genuine passion for working with children, a deep understanding of special educational needs, and the ability to adapt their approach to meet the unique needs of each student. You will be expected to collaborate closely with the class teacher, the wider school team, and parents/carers to ensure a holistic and effective support system is in place for the students.

The salary for this position ranges from £90 to £120 per day, making it a competitive and attractive opportunity for individuals seeking a rewarding career in the field of special educational needs.

Key responsibilities of the Full-time SEN Classroom Support Assistant role include:

* Providing one-on-one support and small group assistance to students with special educational needs, ensuring they are able to actively participate in lessons and make progress towards their individual learning goals.
* Collaborating with the class teacher to develop and implement tailored support strategies, differentiated learning activities, and targeted interventions to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Documenting student progress, maintaining accurate records, and communicating regularly with the class teacher, Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), and parents/carers to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting each student's development.
* Assisting with the preparation and organization of the learning environment, ensuring it is safe, accessible, and conducive to the needs of students with special educational needs.
* Offering emotional support and guidance to students, fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages self-confidence and positive learning experiences.
* Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your knowledge and skills in supporting students with special educational needs.
* Adhering to all school policies, procedures, and safeguarding protocols to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the students in your care.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

* Relevant experience in supporting students with special educational needs, either in a classroom setting or a similar educational environment.
* A strong understanding of special educational needs, including familiarity with various disabilities, learning difficulties, and behavior management strategies.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping students with special educational needs reach their full potential.
* Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each student.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
* A relevant educational qualification, such as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant certificate, or a willingness to work towards a recognized qualification in this field.
