A great opportunity has arisen for a Site Wide Services Operative within our Capital Estates and Facilities Broadmoor Hospital, Crowthorne. The post holder will assist the Estates Team with a variety of tasks. The post holder will be responsible for assisting our in house team with repairs and routine planned maintenance to services, plant and equipment at Broadmoor ensuring compliance with all Statutory Regulations, HTMs, Trust Standards, policies and procedures. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic individual to grow their potential and develop their skills within site wide services, working as part of a team providing an efficient, customer focused and high quality maintenance services. To assist the Technicians and Supervisors in the undertaking, co-ordination and monitoring of building maintenance activities, and to carry out tasks specified by the Technicians and Supervisors so the estate is maintained in such a condition that it fulfils its functions effectively, safely, economically and efficiently, whilst ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and trust policies.
The post holder will work closely with the other members of the Estates and Facilities team to ensure the buildings are maintained to a high standard.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Estates Team with repairs and routine planned maintenance to services, plant and equipment at Broadmoor.
* Support the in-house team with undertaking, co-ordination and monitoring of building maintenance activities as directed by Technicians and Supervisors.
* Ensure the estate is maintained in a condition that fulfils its functions effectively, safely, economically and efficiently, in compliance with statutory requirements and trust policies.
* Prioritise tasks and works to minimise disruption to patients and visitors; work as part of a team to provide an efficient, high quality maintenance service.
Qualifications and requirements
* A good working knowledge of HSAWA, COSHH and safe working practices is essential.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and works; good communication skills and being a team player are key qualities.
* Desire to learn and develop new skills across various trades.
