Executive Consultant - Team Leader - Finance - LHH Recruitment Solutions (formerly Badenoch + Clark)

Job Title: Senior Management Accountant

Location: South Birmingham


Responsibilities

* Prepare monthly management accounts, KPIs, and client board reports with precision.
* Manage and mentor a Management Accountant to foster their professional growth.
* Conduct cash flow forecasting and balance sheet reconciliations with diligence.
* Deliver budgeting and forecasting to agreed deadlines, ensuring accuracy.
* Liaise with auditors and assist in the production of statutory accounts.
* Oversee payroll coordination, maintaining communication with HMRC and third-party providers.
* Ensure timely processing of treasury-related tasks to maintain financial health.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, participating in client meetings.
* Raise and approve bank payments, ensuring accurate reconciliations.
* Support the financial transitions of new homes and manage closures efficiently.
* Collaborate with Operations teams to identify and act on financial risks or opportunities.
* Provide ad-hoc reporting and assist other finance teams as needed.


What We’re Looking For

* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a management accounting or similar finance role.
* Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Experience in managing or mentoring finance staff.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Confidence in liaising with external stakeholders and senior management.
* Proficient in financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
