About the role:
The OOW Engineer will work alongside the Master and Deck OOW on board one of our well maintained landing crafts on the North West Coast of Scotland.
Our vessels are suitable for many applications from the offshore sector to aquaculture and logistics and are available for hire to carry out a wide range of duties. Working a shift rotation of circa. 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off.
About you:
Key skills, Experience & Competencies:
1. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
2. Previous OOW Engineer experience
3. STCW Certification is required
4. Valid ENG 1
5. MCA Certificates of Competence (or CeC)
Main Responsibilities (list not exhaustive)
6. Ensuring that the Company’s Safety Management System is adhered to at all times
7. Planning and controlling all maintenance and repair activities in the engine room department, reporting maintenance and repair activities
8. Monitoring engine control systems
9. Carrying out proper recording in the engine logbook
10. Being in charge of the vessel’s technical equipment
11. Carrying out the responsibilities and emergency duties as required
12. Carrying out maintenance and greasing/conservation work
13. Crane operations
14. Perform cargo loading/discharge duties as directed by the Master
