Overview
Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. There are two posts available. Commencement: as soon as possible until 04 August 2026 or from 23 December 2025 to 04 August 2026.
We are looking for an ambitious individual who wants to progress in their career as a future Obstetrician and/or Gynaecologist. The aim of this post is to act as a stepping stone towards this goal, and the post is designed to provide training to doctors with some experience in the specialty but able to act independently at a Registrar level.
The successful applicant will be expected to be involved in post graduate training of those at a ST1-2 level but also to Undergraduate Medical Students at the University Of Cambridge. The applicant would be expected to utilise the experience provided to contribute to service improvement projects and audits within the department.
Main duties
* The duties of the post include an on-call commitment on the Middle Grade Rota in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology which is a Tier Two of a Four Tier on-call rota with ST1-2 level support, an on-site Resident Senior Registrar, as well as separate on-call Consultants for Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Essential criteria / Qualifications
* Minimum of two years of experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
* Have worked on an Obstetrics & Gynaecology on-call rota
* MRCOG Part 1
* Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application
