Arc Partnership, a joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council and SCAPE, delivers professional property services across the county.
We are recruiting an experienced Principal Surveyor to join our Estates Team, responsible for managing a wide range of council properties including offices, industrial units, schools, libraries, museums, housing, day centres, depots, and farms.
Responsibilities
* Lead professional valuations for corporate accounting, strategic asset management, disposal/acquisition preparation, and general property advice.
* Undertake full estates management activities: serve notices, negotiate leases, liaise with solicitors and engineers, negotiate dilapidation claims, manage building inspections, rent collection, lease compliance, and service charge administration.
* Support commercial estate functions such as lettings, landlord and tenant work, and general property management to improve estate performance.
* Provide leadership and direction across the property professional team.
Qualifications
* Degree in a property related discipline or equivalent plus experience.
* Qualified member of the RICS.
* Significant post-qualification experience in this field.
* Registered Valuer status.
* Knowledge of the UK planning system and property law.
* Experience of valuations and estates management including negotiating and concluding agreements to dispose of and acquire land and property.
* Experience of negotiating and agreeing leases and licences and dilapidations.
* Strong understanding of RICS valuation standards and relevant legislation.
Desirable Skills
* Prior experience working for a public sector organisation.
