We are working with a leading international law firm who are seeking a Flexible Associate Solicitor to undertake short-term seats across their Catastrophic Injury and Healthcare teams within their Manchester office.
The Role
This role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work within a range of dynamic Litigation teams, developing expertise across multiple specialisms, spanning clinical negligence, motor, EL/PL and indemnity matters. The candidate will manage and assist with a varied caseload of Catastrophic motor, EL/PL and indemnity large loss matters, as well as providing representation at inquests, representing clinicians before their regulatory body and medical device/product liability work.
Responsibilities also include acting on behalf of insurers and self‑insured commercial organisations, conducting investigations, identifying and securing evidence from claimant representatives, taking witness statements, and analysing medical records and expert reports.
Essential Criteria
1-5 PQE;
Strong background in catastrophic personal injury litigation, large loss and/or medical negligence;
Ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness;
Outstanding academics;
Technically excellent;
Negotiation skills;
Willingness to become involved in business development;
Ability to work independently and as a team.
