Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading children's care home to find a Team Leader to join the team in Northampton.\n\nThe children's home offers a comprehensive residential service for young people with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviour aged between 7-17 years.\n\nDuties:\n\n * To join a team of residential care staff ensuring that safe and appropriate care practices are always maintained\n\n * To support the Manager in all aspects of the home’s operation, whilst maintaining positive childcare practice, in keeping with the aims and objectives of the home\n\n * To provide a safe, warm and supportive environment to our residents whilst being involved in the planning and organisation of the home\n\n * To maintain a regular recording system in connection with each young person, be involved in the implementation of care plans and assist in the publication of reports when required\n\n * To attend review and planning meetings when required\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * To foster and encourage, wherever appropriate contact between residents and their families\n\n * To maintain good liaison and co-operate with external agencies, eg: social workers, consultant staff and others concerned with the welfare of the individual residents\n\n * To demonstrate both sensitivity and appropriate assertiveness, whilst working in a pressured environment with groups of diverse residents and staff.\n\n * Carry out the duties of the post in a mature and responsible manner, seeking and receiving support as necessary\n\nMust hold Level 3 in Residential Childcare\n\nThis role works on a variable shift pattern across the 7 days of the week.
