Role Overview


We are seeking a reliable and organised Admin Assistant to join our team at Eastleigh Care Home. This pivotal role supports the smooth operation of our care home by managing administrative duties that are essential to the daily functions and overall efficiency of the facility.

The successful candidate will exhibit strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities

* Provide comprehensive administrative support to the care home management and care teams.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including resident information, staff rotas, and compliance documentation.
* Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence promptly and professionally.
* Coordinate appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring all logistics are efficiently handled.
* Assist with payroll preparation and timesheet collection as required.
* Support recruitment processes, including arranging interviews and managing candidate communications.
* Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards in all administrative tasks.
* Order and manage office and care supplies to support operational needs.
* Collaborate with external agencies and service providers as necessary.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance administrative processes.


Qualifications and Experience

* Proven experience in an administrative or office support role, preferably within the health, nursing, or social care sector.
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant IT systems.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
* A proactive and flexible approach to work.
* Basic understanding of health and safety and data protection regulations is desirable.
* GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths are preferred.
