We are seeking an enthusiastic Test and Development Technician to join our Materials Engineering team. The successful candidate will conduct various tests, analyze materials performance, and assist in developing innovative solutions to enhance our subsea buoyancy technology. This role involves collaboration with Development Engineers and Materials Technologists to ensure products meet industry standards and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
* Support development, testing, and qualification of new materials and products.
* Develop and document test procedures and methodologies.
* Perform hand calculations, analyze data, and prepare technical reports.
* Prepare material samples for qualification testing.
* Conduct sample preparation and testing according to industry specifications.
* Write technical reports suitable for publication to clients.
* Maintain and calibrate testing equipment regularly.
* Keep the laboratory and test facilities clean and operational.
* Establish and maintain test procedures and methods.
* Implement and review risk assessments and safe working procedures.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the business.

Pay & Benefits
* Salary up to £30,000 per annum (DOE).
* Annual bonus scheme up to 15% of salary.
