Job Description
3. Coordinate end-to-end payroll processing using Sage Payroll
4. Manage starters, leavers, and statutory deductions (SSP, SMP, SPL)
5. Ensure accurate pro-rata calculations and statutory payments
6. Reconcile monthly payroll and prepare payroll journals
7. Administer the company pension scheme and salary sacrifice benefits
8. Respond to employee queries related to payroll and pensions
9. Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and liaise with HMRC
10. Support internal and external audits and statutory submissions
11. Assist with P11D, PSA, Gender Pay Gap reporting, and ONS surveys
12. Produce advanced Excel reports and quarterly timesheet analysis
13. Collaborate with HR and Finance on salary and bonus review communications
The Successful Applicant
To thrive in this role, you should have:
14. Mandatory experience using Sage Payroll
15. 10+ years of payroll experience (ACIPP study preferred)
16. Strong understanding of payroll legislation and HMRC processes
17. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
18. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
19. A proactive approach to improving systems and processes
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
