Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team at the Marple Golf Club Professional Shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring the shop is well-organised and welcoming. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse customer base.
Duties
* Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
* Maintain a clean and organised shop environment, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
* Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries, restocking shelves, and conducting inventory checks.
* Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
* Provide product information and recommendations to customers, enhancing their shopping experience.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
Requirements
* Excellent communication skills in English.
* Previous experience in retail or customer service is an advantage but not essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well in a team environment.
* Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the shop's operating hours.
