Job Description Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic The Study Coordinator/Formulation Scientist to join our team based in UK. This is an opportunity to work with highly motivated colleagues in a science-oriented, creative and dynamic environment. The Study Coordinator/Formulation Scientist will be responsible for supporting the conduct of pre-clinical in vivo studies and preparing compounds for dosing according to study protocols.
Responsibilities
* Prepare dosing solutions and suspensions from both liquid and powder test materials at required concentrations for use in pre-clinical studies
* Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and quality checked before use, and that equipment is maintained appropriately according to service and calibration schedules
* Create, review and distribute study-related documents, including formulation instructions and study protocols
* Track progress of studies, carry out data analysis, and prepare study reports and presentations
* Conduct project administration including ordering mice, compounds and consumables
* Facilitate communication across Crown Bioscience departments, providing relevant information to respective departments and Study Directors
* Ensure quality assurance is maintained by following company SOPs and working under Crown Bioscience's Quality System
Requirements
* BSc. in a scientific discipline
* Experience working in a laboratory and in use of basic equipment
* Experience working aseptically and handling chemical and biological material
* Ability to work safely and independently in a laboratory environment
* Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite
* Competent in use of basic laboratory equipment
* Accurately follow formulation instructions involving multiple steps and use of different pieces of equipment
* Ability to perform scientific calculations (e.g. calculation of volumes and concentrations)
