Your new school
You will be joining a dedicated SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) specialist school that supports students who require a highly nurturing, trauma informed and personalised approach to learning. Serving KS3 pupils, the school provides a structured yet flexible environment where relationships, wellbeing and safetye first.
As part of amitted, mufti disciplinary team, you will help create a stable, supportive environment where young people can re-engage with education, develop confidence and work towards positive long term oues.
Your new role
The school is seeking a full time KS3 Drama or PSHE Teacher with QTS to deliver creative, engaging and accessible lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs.In this role, you will:
1. Plan and teach Drama or PSHE lessons that build confidence,munication skills, and social/emotional development.
2. Adapt learning to meet a wide range of needs, including those with SEN, trauma histories, or barriers to engagement.
3. Foster a safe, encouraging classroom climate where students feel valued and understood.
4. Work as part of a supportive team including pastoral, SEN and therapeutic staff.
5. Contribute to positive behaviour support strategies and whole school wellbeing approaches.
6. Play an active role in the wider schoolmunity and enrichment opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)—essential.
8. Experience teaching Drama or PSHE, ideally at KS3.
9. Strong background or interest in SEN and SEMH settings.
10. A trauma informed approach andmitment to relational practice.
11. Resilience, creativity, and the ability to motivate and engage students who may have faced significant challenges.
12. Excellentmunication and teamwork skills.
