Hardwick Green Primary Academy seeks to appoint two play team members (mid-day assistants) to support lunch times. The hours are as above, with potential overtime opportunities from time to time.
As a member of the Play Team, under the supervision of the Play Coordinator and SLT, you will ensure children have meaningful lunchtime play daily. You will work to create a safe, stimulating outdoor environment offering social, active, and creative play experiences. Additionally, you will ensure children have a pleasant eating experience while maximizing outdoor playtime.
Our academy is part of OPAL – Outdoor Play And Learning, emphasizing the importance of play for exploration, manipulation, experience, and environmental impact. We support the UN Charter on the Rights of the Child, especially Article 31, advocating for accessible and inclusive play opportunities for all children.
We are seeking someone who:
* Is kind, caring, nurturing, and approachable.
* Has experience working with children.
* Can facilitate play and act as an ambassador for play.
* Can offer care, support, and advice during lunchtime.
* Has or is willing to complete First Aid training.
