Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and mechanical processes, with the ability to operate and maintain various types of pressing machinery. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Operate pressing machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
* Set up and adjust machinery for optimal performance, ensuring all parameters are met.
* Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to prevent downtime.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
* Handle materials safely and efficiently, following all health and safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
Skills
* Proficient in fabrication techniques and production processes.
* Experience operating coil fed presses or similar machines
* Competence in materials handling and assembly operations.
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
* Previous warehouse experience is beneficial, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
* Attention to detail – Ability to perform basic quality checks on components
Hours / Pay
* Days; Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-13:00
* Standard 39 hours per week, £12.21 per hour basic + overtime paid at premium.
