Flexible Teaching Assistant

Start Date: November 2025
Contract: Temporary, Flexible
Pay Rate: £13.75 to £14.50 per hour (dependant on experience)

We are seeking a Flexible Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is confident adapting to different classroom environments.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting pupils with their learning in small groups or 1:1
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
* Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
* Supporting children with additional needs (SEND experience is a plus)
* Contributing to a safe and stimulating learning environment
Woolton is well-connected via public transport:
* Bus routes: Regular services from Liverpool city centre and surrounding areas
* Train stations: Nearby stations include Hunts Cross and Liverpool South Parkway
* Parking: On-site and nearby street parking available for drivers
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience working in a primary school setting, ideally in Woolton or nearby
* A flexible and proactive approach to work
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and wellbeing
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
