Work experience in SCADA projects for Power utility Transmission networks in Operational Acceptance Testing
Strong test design, development, and documentation skills – creating test cases, scenarios, defect management.
Your responsibilities:
1. Proficiency in Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) processes for SCADA systems, ensuring system stability and readiness for production.
2. Strong knowledge of SCADA architecture, system operations, and communication protocols (e.g., IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus).
3. Analytical skills to validate system performance, resilience, and operational functionality.
4. Work within ART Teams Scrum including the Product Owner (PO) and SCADA SMEs / Business testers to ensure appropriate User Stories and Tests capture Test Requirements fully.
5. Monitor and report on the progress of test preparation and execution of JIRA/XRAY Tests (and associated test plans) using the defined processes.
6. Identify and manage any risks and issues relating to testing in your area.
7. Agree action plans to rectify any issues identified through test assurance, and lead problem-solving activities as required.
8. Ensure testing follows a common approach and is managed and conducted in the central Test Tools according to the defined Test Strategy, Approach, and Test Phase Test Plans.
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
1. Experience working on at least one SCADA project for Power Utility in Testing.
2. Perform OAT to validate SCADA system stability, reliability, and operational compliance before go-live.
3. Test backup, failover, and disaster recovery scenarios to ensure system robustness.
4. Document test results, identify issues, and collaborate with stakeholders for timely resolution.
5. Experience with Agile methodology.
6. Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP-ALM).
7. Client-facing skills and good stakeholder communication. Ability to work with Product Owner, Product Manager, Development, Testing, and Implementation teams.
8. Exposure and expertise in projects involving Agile Methodology are pivotal.
