Scotia Homes is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Finance Director to join our leadership team in Ellon. This pivotal role is ideal for an ambitious professional ready to lead and develop our finance team, shaping the strategic and operational direction of the group.
As Finance Director, you'll do more than manage the numbers, you'll drive performance beyond the balance sheet. We're looking for someone who can translate financial insights into actionable business plans, ensuring our financial strategy fuels growth and innovation across the organisation. This is a hands-on, commercially focused position for a leader with the vision, commitment, and drive to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial strategy, planning and reporting
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
* Provide commercial insight into land acquisition and development appraisals
* Provide financial oversight in sales and CVR meetings
* Develop and nurture strong relationships with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders
* Develop and mentor the finance team promoting high performance and continuous learning.
What We're Looking For:
* A qualified accountant with post-qualification experience at a senior leadership level (CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified)
* Strong background in house building or construction. Experience in house building is highly desirable.
* Strong IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office programs
* The ability to manage deadlines and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills and a proven ability to drive financial performance and support business growth
