Job Description
Qualified Dispenser needed to join our busy dispensary team in Holywell GP Surgery. Hours are part time hours up to 21 hours with flexible working hours for the right candidate to cover maternity leave for 6 months.
You should be a qualified Dispenser, with experience working in a GP Practice Dispensary or in a Pharmacy.
Main duties of the job
You will work with the team to provide a friendly, efficient and safe dispensary service to our patients. Working closely with the Doctors, Reception and Admin team, you will need to be a qualified dispenser and have a good level of customer service skill.
JOB DESCRIPTION DISPENSER
* To dispense medicines promptly and accurate and monitor repeat medicine requests.
* Making appointments both face to face and by telephone
* Responding to queries in accordance with practice procedures
* Undertaking administrative support to the GPs and Nurses
* Answer patient queries on their medication or minor ailments within recognised limits
* Assist in the ongoing development of the dispensary service
* Respect and remain confidential.
* Ensure cleanliness of the Dispensary and equipment
* Maintain the Controlled Drugs (CD) book.
* Attend practice and dispensing meetings.
* Stay up to date with current developments.
* Take note of alert messages for Clinicians when required
* Fully observe all legal requirements relevant to dispensing practices including the NHS regulations and all practice protocols.
