Night Care Assistant at Guiseley Manor Care Centre - Full-time, Permanent
Join our team at Guiseley Manor Care Centre, a purpose-built 72-bed facility located in Guiseley, West Yorkshire. We provide residential, nursing, and dementia care, ensuring safety, comfort, and high standards of care for our residents.
We invest in the latest technology and offer a range of daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. Our team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, receiving full induction and ongoing training through our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care, with all staff paid above the national living wage.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to deliver quality care aligned with residents' care plans. This full-time role offers an hourly rate of £11.44, with shifts from 19:45 to 08:00, including alternate weekends.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing hands-on, person-centered care to residents.
2. Supporting residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
3. Modeling best practices in care delivery.
4. Assisting residents with their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in accordance with care plans.
5. Contributing to daily resident records.
6. Working effectively within a team and completing delegated tasks efficiently.
7. Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of residents and adults in contact with the care home.
Skills and experience required:
1. Experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar role preferred.
2. Care certificate or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
3. Good knowledge of care practices for older people.
4. Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
5. Ability to work well in a team.
6. Self-motivated and confident.
