Senior Residential Support Worker – Wolverhampton

Salary: Up to £37,000 (includes sleep‑in allowance of £70.47 per shift, average 11 per month)
Job type: Full‑time
Responsibilities
* Plan shifts with Residential Support Workers.
* Ensure all risks are safely managed in line with company policies and procedures.
* Communicate effectively with the team regarding the day’s plans.
* Provide reports and documentation reflecting the progress of each young person using paper‑less systems and tools.
* Review young people’s care plans and associated documentation.
* Participate in an in‑depth quality and bespoke training package.
* Attend staff meetings and proactively develop and improve the service model.
* Act as an advocate for the young person while applying a positive parenting model.
* Use positive support strategies, including de‑escalation tools and techniques, such as the in‑house PRICE training.
Requirements
* Provide positive parenting.
* Exceptional communication skills.
* Sound working knowledge of current legislation, e.g., Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 (including quality standards).
* Open‑mind, empathetic, calm and professional manner.
Essential Requirements
* Full manual driving licence.
* Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or working towards it.
* Participation in continuing professional development to support the needs of young people.
* Clear passion and desire to support children and young people.
* Active member of a progressive and committed team.
