Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Human Resources Business Partner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of human resources practices and the ability to analyse data to drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide first line HR advice and support to managers and employees
2. Assist in the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, and selection processes / support the leaver process including Exit Interviews
3. Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
4. Ensuring compliance with legal procedures such as right to work checks
5. Organising Apprentices and Work Experience Students
6. Monitor and track Absence Management Process including supporting managers with Return-to-Workcompletion
7. Collect and analyse HR data to generate reports on key HR metrics
8. Act as HR support and note taker in formal meetings
9. Monitoring Fixed-Term Contracts
10. Monitoring completion of Probationary Periods
11. Filing employee records electronically
12. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
13. Support with Ad-hoc projects as appropriate
14. KPI and board reporting
15. Succession Planning and Training and Development coordination
Skills
16. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in an HR generalist or advisory role
17. CIPD Level 3 or 5 Diploma or working towards
18. Very competent in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
19. Proven experience in implementing HR best practices
20. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
21. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
22. In-depth knowledge of HR compliance
23. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
24. Ability to convey information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders
25. Strong listening skills to understand concerns and provide appropriate guidance
26. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees and managers
27. Strong networking skills to facilitate collaboration and support
28. High level of accuracy in managing HR processes and documentation
29. Willingness to travel (role will be based in the Midlands with travel to the South as and when required)
