This role will include operational/HR duties periodically. The position is based in the London Waterloo office, working 2 days per week (Tues & Weds).The Head of PR will develop and implement communication strategies targeting current and potential clients in the UK. Responsibilities include strategic planning, issue management in a dynamic environment, and supporting Darby & Parrett’s values and vision through PR activities.Ideal Candidate:Extensive PR experience (10+ years) with a strong network in the food, drink & hospitality industry.Ability to understand business challenges and craft effective strategies.Strong project management, organization, and attention to detail skills.Proven ability to present to senior stakeholders and at client events.Creative with a flair for initiating new campaigns.Leadership skills to manage and motivate a team, set goals, delegate, and provide feedback.Ability to foster a positive, collaborative team culture.Excellent multitasking, adaptability, and ability to work under tight deadlines.Experience in operational/HR aspects and making business decisions.Strong business acumen and cross-departmental communication skills.Main Responsibilities:Head of PR:Develop and execute PR strategies for the client portfolio.Oversee PR campaigns from inception to delivery.Monitor industry trends to advise on PR strategy.Serve as senior contact for clients, providing strategic counsel.Engage with clients to evaluate projects and maintain profitability.Manage and support the PR team.Build and maintain relationships with press and industry influencers.Operations/HR:Oversee operational and HR functions during COO’s maternity leave.Manage client contracts and agreements.
