Easy Mobility Services is currently building a structured, future-ready Accounts/Finance function within the business and are seeking a Finance Assistant (Office based) to work closely with the Head of Finance in developing a scalable, well-controlled and forward-looking finance operation. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive and trustworthy, with a friendly and professional approach. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment, using Sage50. You will be trusted with real responsibility and supported to work independently as your confidence grows. There is scope for progression as the finance function continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Core Transactional Finance
* Accounts payable processing and supplier management
* Expense processing in line with company policy
* Bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliations
* Maintaining accurate ledgers, documentation and audit-ready records
* Preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
* Processing and administration of monthly payroll, including statutory submissions and pension contributions
Financial Control & Reporting Support
* Assisting with month-end close activities
* Maintaining accurate financial records and audit trails
* Supporting data gathering, analysis and internal reporting
* Supporting preparation of monthly management information
Systems & Process Development
* Supporting system improvements and finance transformation initiatives
* Contributing to the development of financial controls and scalable processes
Qualifications and Experience
* GCSEs (or equivalent), especially Maths and English (grade 4/C or above)
* Minimum 2 years' experience in accounts or finance role
* AAT studying or willingness to study (desirable)
* Experience using Sage50
Skills and Abilities
* Strong data analysis and numerical skills
* Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
* Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written and telephone
* Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities
* Proactive problem-solving approach and willingness to support wider team activities as required
