CNC Turner & Programmer

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Turner & Programmer to join our well established client. You will be required to run a CNC vertical lathe, assist with programming other machines and the day-to-day management of our operators to ensure that production runs to schedule and targets are achieved, whilst maintaining an excellent standard of health and safety.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Setting up, programming and operating machine tools with Fanuc or Fagor Controls.
Able to machine and measure to tight tolerances.
Competent in all aspects of CNC machining, selecting and setting tools utilizing correct cutting speeds and feeds relative to application.
Safety and cleanliness.
Team management.
Supervise daily operations.
Take the lead in training apprentices / trainees and upskilling the work force and carrying out training reviews.
Forward planning for next jobs on machines ensures parts/paperwork are ready.
Identify and implement solutions to problems.
Requirements:
Proven experience within a leadership role.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Experienced operating and programming CNC vertical lathes.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Per Annum + overtime.
Working hours: Regular days.
