Food Technology Teacher QTS
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Contract Type: Long-Term
Start Date: After Easter, April 2026
Salary: £160 - £250 (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a lovely secondary school in Stockton-on-Tees on a full-time, long-term basis starting after Easter.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and welcoming school environment, delivering engaging and practical lessons that inspire students to develop essential cooking skills, knowledge of nutrition, and a passion for healthy living.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Teach a combination of practical cooking skills and theoretical knowledge, including nutrition and food safety
* Maintain a safe, organised, and engaging kitchen/classroom environment
* Assess and monitor student progress in line with school expectations
* Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
* Contribute to the wider Design & Technology department where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)
* Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Confidence delivering practical lessons in a kitchen setting
* A passion for engaging students through hands-on learning
