What's involved with this role: Job Title: Business Administrator Ref: Cheshire E 5270620 Pay rate: £12.21 per hour PAYE The role: We are looking for a Business Administrator who is super organised, thrives working in a busy environment, a great administrator with fantastic interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude. You will work within the Families First Programme Management Office but receive excellent support from the line manager who will be within the Children’s Development and Partnerships team. Supporting the Directorate and safeguarding partnership to implement the National Reforms to services for children and families, you will arrange and support meetings and events, take notes, gather project information and produce project documents including presentations and spreadsheets. You will also help the Programme team in gathering progress updates on project activity. The ideal candidate would be flexible about where they are based as the role will involve work in Crewe and Macclesfield. Key responsibilities: Co-ordinate agendas, papers, reports, venues, minutes, attendance, and follow-up actions for multi-agency and senior management boards and sub-groups to ensure timely and efficient business handling Respond to all related enquiries appropriately, including signposting to relevant services or organisations Manage and organise meetings, documents, research, filing, and general admin for the Children’s Partnership Boards, Service, and Team – including financial tasks – to support effective time use and complex agendas Liaise directly with Partnership Board members and senior managers and partner agencies Organise events for the Service, Team, and Partnership Boards, such as board meetings, sub-groups, conferences, development days, and multi-agency workshops Manage team admin systems and support cross-service work, including handling phone calls, assessing urgency, managing email and correspondence, and maintaining filing systems Respond to all enquiries on team processes, procedures, and systems to ensure efficient administrative support across the team What the client is looking for: NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent Administration experience, preferably including minute taking and arranging meetings Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality responsibilities and requirements Understanding of administrative processes and procedures Awareness and understanding of financial processing procedures Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications Good organisational skills Good standard of literacy and written skills Able to professionally and appropriately handle and manage sensitive and confidential information Accurate minute taking skills Good verbal and written communications skills How to Apply Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
