Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their home. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for those in your care by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their independence. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication management.
* Maintain care plans tailored to the needs of each individual.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff.
* Accompany clients to appointments, shopping or social outings.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Experience
* Previous experience in the care sector is desirable but not essential.
* Familiarity with care plans and understanding of individual needs is advantageous.
* Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members.
* Strong IT skills to manage documentation and use relevant software applications.
* Excellent communication skills to engage positively with clients, families, and colleagues.
