OVERVIEW
AtkinsClarke are seeking a senior finance leader to join a fast‐growing, PE‐backed multi‐service B2B group based in the East Midlands as the Group Head of FP&A. This is a newly created role, reporting directly to the Group CFO, with responsibility for transforming and elevating our forecasting, budgeting, and long‐term financial reporting capabilities.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
As Group Head of FP&A, you will:
* Develop, own and improve the group's long‐term financial forecasting & planning framework to support strategic decision‐making
* Design and lead the budgeting process across the group, integrating contributions from acquisition targets and existing business units
* Deliver rolling forecasts, scenario analyses, and what‐if modelling to senior leadership and PE stakeholders
* Establish consistent and transparent financial reporting mechanisms (monthly, quarterly, annual) for group and business unit level
* Partner with operations, commercial, and other functional leaders to ensure financial information is actionable, timely and aligned with strategic goals
* Drive best practices in FP&A: variance analysis, KPI definition, benchmarking, and continual process improvement
* Build, lead and mentor an FP&A team; recruit where necessary to scale capability
* Ensure acquisition integration (financial forecasting, budgeting, reporting) is seamless, and that acquired entities are incorporated into FP&A processes quickly
PERSON SPECIFICATION
For this Group Head of FP&A position, we're looking for someone who has substantial FP&A experience, ideally in a high‐growth, multi‐entity B2B service environment
Ideally, we are looking for someone who:
* Is strong technically: forecasting & budgeting, scenario planning, long‐term modelling, financial reporting
* Has excellent commercial acumen and can translate financial data into actionable insights for non‐finance senior leaders
* Demonstrates strong leadership & team building skills, able to manage and develop a team of FP&A professionals
* Is comfortable working in a fast‐paced, evolving environment; adaptable to change, with a sense of ownership
* Has strong stakeholder management skills: ability to influence at senior levels, work effectively with acquisition teams, operations, and PE investors
