Solar PV Project Manager Location: Gloucestershire | Salary: £55,000 per annum | Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Overview Our client is an established Electrical & Mechanical contractor operating across the South West, Midlands and South Wales. Due to continued growth and an expanding renewable energy pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Solar PV Project Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of Solar PV installations across multiple sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The post-holder will also serve as the company's representative for MCS assessments and as NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for Solar PV installations. Key Responsibilities Manage all stages of Solar PV projects from pre-construction through to completion Coordinate and manage installation teams and subcontractors across multiple sites Ensure compliance with MCS standards, BS 7671 wiring regulations, and relevant legislation Represent the business during MCS audits and assessments Serve as NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for Solar PV works Manage project scheduling, labour allocation, and materials procurement Liaise with clients, main contractors, and internal departments Conduct site inspections, quality assurance checks, and provide technical support to installation teams Review technical drawings, system designs, and installation specifications Oversee commissioning, testing, certification, and project handover Experience & Requirements Essential Proven experience managing Solar PV installation projects Strong electrical knowledge including 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Current NICEIC Qualified Supervisor status Experience as MCS Nominee and Technical Supervisor Effective organisational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently Full UK driving licence Desirable Experience with battery storage and hybrid systems New build residential or commercial renewable energy project experience SMSTS or SSSTS qualification Salary & Benefits £55,000 per annum Company vehicle or vehicle allowance Career progression within a growing business Professional and supportive working environment
