Your job is simple to describe and enormous in scope. You will design and build the software stack that sits on top of the most valuable proprietary data stream in the world. Our drones will be collecting continuous, high-resolution data across the planet, and you will define how that data flows, how it is stored, how it is surfaced to customers, and how AI models turn it into the insights that matter.
There is no system to inherit. No legacy. No codebase full of compromises. You start from a clean sheet and build the foundations of a planetary-scale sensing platform.
Backend, frontend, data infrastructure, AI pipelines, customer interfaces, mission scheduling, live operations dashboards, robotics integrations. It is all yours to architect, implement, and evolve. You will be building software that interacts with the real world. This is not abstract app development. What you write will move drones, trigger missions, collect physical data, manage fleets, and eventually drive AI models that help nations make better decisions about climate, security, and resilience.
You will be the person who turns that same spirit into software: rapid cycles, tight feedback loops, practical judgment, and an obsession with delivering something that works, now. You cannot wait for perfect requirements. You help define them through action.
Requirements
We are hiring both exceptional builders and leaders for this domain as we scale. A Head of Software level hire will own the full architecture, set technical standards, mentor others, and shape a team capable of supporting global operations.
If you are the kind of software engineer who writes tools for yourself because existing ones are too slow, who builds side projects for fun, who loves systems that touch the real world, and who would aspire to work at SpaceX or Tesla if you lived in the US, then this is your moment. Europe rarely offers a chance to build this kind of software company in robotics. We are doing it anyway, and we need people who feel restless until they have built something important.
If you want to architect something bold, ship fast, and build software that actually interacts with the planet, we want to speak with you.
Timeline
We will be reviewing applications immediately and start interviewing as early as January 2026.
