An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinician to join our dynamic, well established OPCU community services as a Clinical Lead. The post will sit within the Rushcliffe Integrated Team. The post holder will support robust clinical management of complex cases within both services, attend weekly MDT meetings and complex case reviews, and contribute to clinical development of the CMHT/IHTT service, leading on clinical transformation and the evolution of pathway interventions across the community mental health team.
The successful candidate will provide high quality case supervision and training, ensure consistent high-quality assessments and interventions, and participate in developing evidence-based practice within the service. The Clinical Lead will drive best practice and continuous improvement, including embedding new and innovative practices. The post holder will have excellent management and leadership skills and advanced knowledge of older adults’ mental health problems.
Working with the Team Leader & ACP, the post holder will lead, monitor and evaluate the clinical practice of the team, driving towards clinical excellence. They will provide and oversee clinical supervision and support the multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality, safe, patient-centred care and provide senior clinical leadership within the service. The role includes highly specialised assessment for a diverse patient group, including initiation of interventions and prescribing medication where appropriate. This group presents with significant mental health needs including complex emotional needs. The role includes complex case management within the CMHT including assessment and management of high risk cases.
To succeed, you will have excellent managerial and leadership skills with a good understanding of older people’s mental health. You will also provide specialist skills to assess patients’ needs, analyse and develop treatment plans within a multidisciplinary framework.
