Job Details Responsible for: Management of water resources planning, management and modelling consultancy projects, to ensure project delivery to time, cost and quality. Development of bids and proposals to secure water resources work, and to support business development work to secure new work pipelines.

Competence & Qualifications:
Experience A proven track record of working at a senior level in water resources planning and management in a consultancy practice environment:
* Degree in relevant subject (e.g. Environmental Science, Geography, Engineering), and ideally an MSc related to hydrology or water resources management
* Experienced in the water resources management and planning field, and ideally with a strong working knowledge of hydrological and water resources modelling approaches
* Proven track record of excellence in project management and delivery of consultancy projects in the water industry to safety, quality, time and cost constraints
* Proven ability to effective engage with clients, and stakeholders / regulators as part of project delivery
* Good knowledge of the UK WRMP and Drought Plan processes and regulatory environment
* Highly desirable to have a background in WRMP supply-demand balance and options technical analysis
* Fee writing and work winning experience
* Excellent report and proposal writing ability
* Useful to have familiarity with Aquator or similar water resources modelling software and/or rainfall-runoff models
* Graduate
* Proven ability in water resources management and planning in a consultancy practice environment
* Good knowledge of the water industry and regulatory environment for the production of WRMPs and Drought Plans
* Proven ability in project managing consultancy projects

* Ability to work to deadlines and to manage others to achieve the same
* Interest in working in the water & environment sector
* Prepared to travel throughout the UK and overseas
Key Duties:
1.
Project Management for water resources projects for HLSI consultancy business
2. Responsible for assisting with work winning of water resources projects, including preparation and review of fee proposals and tenders to achieve budget sales targets.
3.
Responsible for developing and maintaining successful client relationships. 4.
Managing projects, ensuring efficient delivery safely and to time, budget and quality.
5.
Where appropriate, to provide advisory services to the Hydro International Group of companies when requested.
6. To manage staff resources efficiently and effectively to maximise performance, providing guidance, training, motivational and directional feedback.
7.
To support in the development and application of the Aquator water resources modelling software, enabled by delivery of associated consultancy services and through effective joint working with the Senior Aquator Manager.
8.
To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act and CDM regulations.
9.
To apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 as appropriate within the areas of responsibility. If the company achieves ISO 14001 to also apply the requirements of this standard.
10.
Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
