Personal Assistant for a young person 21 hrs p/w in Chatham £15.50 p/h - Driver essential
A young gentleman is looking for a male personal assistant to support him to live an independent life on a day‑to‑day basis. As a personal assistant you will be required to provide support in a range of activities including socialising, accessing the Lodge day centre three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9am–2pm) and flexible weekend work from the client’s home. You will plan routes, use a car as a confident driver and give reassurance and prompts around daily routine, dressing and safety at home.
Your role will involve encouraging outings up to three times a week, reducing isolation and accompanying the client to social and leisure activities. The client has autism, is non‑verbal and may struggle to meet new people – you should be patient, flexible, reliable and punctual. Previous experience as a personal assistant is not required, but a keen learner and caring attitude will be valued.
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by the employer), references and an Equality Act 2010 exception. Self‑employed applicants welcome.
