Senior PR Manager (FTC – 12–14 months)
Location: Hybrid (minimum 1 day in office per week) – Tunbridge Wells, Peterborough, Manchester or Portsmouth

About The Role
Are you a creative storyteller passionate about media relations and building brand reputations? Digitally savvy, with a flair for consumer PR? If so, this could be the role for you! We are seeking an experienced Senior PR Manager on a maternity cover contract (12–14 months). You’ll have the opportunity to make an impact across multiple consumer brands, raising awareness in national, regional, lifestyle, and specialist media. No two days are the same! This role offers variety, creativity and the chance to lead consumer PR campaigns across a range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Brand Management: Lead consumer PR activities across multiple brands, working closely with the communications team.
* Consumer PR: Develop newsworthy PR stories that secure high-impact media coverage.
* PR Strategy: Create strategic PR plans aligned with marketing and business objectives.
* Press Materials: Draft press releases, editorials, web content, thought leadership articles, and comments to support brand initiatives.
* Media Relations: Build media lists, proactively reach out to journalists, and secure coverage across print and online media.
* Reactive PR & Crisis Comms: Monitor the news agenda, identify topical opportunities, and manage media requests as part of a press office rota.
* Reporting: Use PR tools to compile monthly and quarterly media reports for stakeholders.
* Integrated Working: Collaborate with wider marketing teams to ensure cohesive campaigns.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all communications meet legal, industry, and company guidelines.
Skills & Experience
* Solid experience in consumer PR, agency or in-house.
* Experience with media monitoring and press distribution platforms (Roxhill, Response Source, Onclusive).
* Exceptional creative thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to integrate PR with broader marketing plans.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
* Highly collaborative, with excellent teamwork skills.
* Detail‑oriented and proactive, tailoring communications for different audiences.
