The Copthorne Cardiff is preparing for reopening and is on the look for a Reservations superstar to take control of all bedroom reservation enquiries and processing (including Group bookings). Please note: the ideal candidate must have sufficient knowledge and experience of using the Opera CLOUD PMS and therefore be ready to ‘hit the ground running’ with this system, as they will be responsible for all reservations activities upon commencement of this role in readiness for the reopening… Key responsibilities of our Senior Reservations Coordinator: - To be totally customer focused whilst following the strategies set by the Revenue Manager / General Manager - To accept, process & manage both individual and group reservations to ensure maximum revenue and occupancy - Be capable of growing the business through proactive selling and effective conversion of all bedroom enquiries - Ensuring all charges are raised and paid for following established procedures, and ensuring accuracy of details on all reservations - To be the main point of contact for Groups between the hotel and the client - Support the front desk operations if required at the request of the Front Office Manager - Dealing with any guest feedback or requests in a professional and efficient way This position is a full time role with a general Monday-Friday working pattern but may also require occasional evening/weekend work as required by our clients (for appointments, show rounds etc.) To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: - Previous experience of Opera CLOUD - Organisational skills based around administration - Excellent time management and communication skills - A positive and approachable attitude with a commitment to delivering high quality customer service - Ability to work on your own and as part of a team - Fluent English both verbally and written About the Hotel Nestled on the peaceful banks of its own ornamental lake, the Copthorne Hotel Cardiff-Caerdydd offers convenient access to a variety of local attractions.
