An opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Advisor to join a major infrastructure project in the Midlands, supporting the delivery of one of the UK's most significant transport programmes.
You will be joining a large, internationally backed joint venture delivering complex civil engineering works across a flagship national infrastructure scheme. This role offers the chance to work directly on site within construction, supporting environmental compliance and helping drive environmental best practice across a high‑profile project.
The Role
As Environmental Advisor, you will support the Environmental Manager and wider project team to ensure environmental standards and requirements are met across site operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring site works comply with the Construction Code of Practice and environmental requirements.
* Supporting the development and implementation of Environmental Management System (EMS) documentation and processes.
* Assisting with environmental mitigation measures and monitoring programmes.
* Ensuring construction methodologies meet Environmental Minimum Requirements.
* Supporting environmental reporting and compliance activities.
* Managing environmental risks and opportunities through environmental registers.
About You
* 3‑5 years' experience in an environmental role within civil engineering or construction projects.
* Experience working directly on site rather than purely consultancy‑based roles.
* Knowledge of environmental legislation and environmental management within construction.
* Experience supporting EMS processes and environmental reporting.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with site teams.
Location
Based on site in Coventry, with occasional travel across Midlands project locations.

* GBP 45,000 : GBP 47,000 salary.
