Record-Keeping & Compliance:
* Maintain accurate, person-centred care records.
* Follow health & safety, safeguarding, and regulatory guidelines.
* Uphold the principles of the Care Act 2014 and CQC framework.

Required Criteria
* Ability to use your imagination to engage others.

* A commitment to meet the requirements of the Care Certificate
* Satisfactory DBS check
* Availability to work unsocial hours i.e. early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays to ensure the home is covered 365 days a year
Desired Criteria
* QCF Qualification (NVQ Level 2) in health and social care or an equivalent qualification, including relevant dementia care units or a commitment to work toward it.
* Knowledge and understanding of the needs of people with dementia, who need care and support.
* Previous experience in providing care and support to people with dementia in a residential setting.
* Understanding of mental capacity and deprivation of liberty safeguards
* Understanding of the Care Act 2014 and CQC regulatory framework

Guild Care was founded in Worthing in 1933 by visionary volunteers dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals in the local community. Originally known as Worthing Council of Social Service, the organisation focused on alleviating poverty, isolation, and health challenges during difficult times. In the 1950s and 1960s, Guild Care established innovative day centres and residential care homes, significantly enhancing life quality for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Adapting continually, the charity later introduced specialised dementia care facilities and tailored services for those with learning disabilities.
Today, Guild Care supports over 3,000 people annually across West Sussex through a range of community-focused services. Remaining true to its founding values, the organisation is one of Worthing's largest employers, powered by almost 700 dedicated staff members and the essential contributions of more than 300 volunteers, all united in making a meaningful difference.
