Overview
We are looking for a well motivated, committed and enthusiastic part-time individual to join our friendly and progressive team. We offer diagnostic and rehabilitative services to both Adults and Paediatrics including Newborn Hearing Screening. The role will provide support as part of our busy Admin team, provide basic hearing aid support for patients and their families when required and perform an assisting role in the audiological assessment of predominantly pre-school children. An aptitude for working with children is required. Training will be provided within the department for use of our Audiology database, providing the assisting role in assessments and basic hearing aid support. We are committed to providing peer support and career development and we have close links with Leeds and Aston University regarding student placement and training.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will both support the administrative function of the service including dealing with patients/carers and their families face to face, on the telephone and via email and assist in paediatric hearing assessment appointments with full training. This includes managing the patient booking system, dealing with patient referrals and processing appointments. The post holder will also be providing basic hearing aid support when required. The post holder will work within a range of procedures and pathways in which they have received training to become competent. In pursuing these duties the post holder will ensure compliance with the NHS Constitution.
