Hours and location: 40 hours per week, Mondays – Fridays
Location: Donald Ward House, Ilkeston
WARD has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at Donald Ward House, Ilkeston (DE7 5JB). The role involves supporting daily activities across the customer service function.
In this fast-paced environment, you will be the first point of contact for internal and external customers.
Ideal candidates will be team players with excellent customer service and communication skills, strong IT skills, and proven experience in a customer service role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Respond promptly and effectively to incoming inquiries.
2. Handle complaints thoroughly, seeking resolution or escalation as needed.
3. Receive and book orders via telephone and email, ensuring accuracy of information.
4. Build relationships with customers and explore additional opportunities.
5. Foster strong internal relationships.
6. Support the Customer Service Team.
7. Maintain records, including spreadsheets, filing, and scanning.
8. Contribute actively to achieving company objectives.
9. Adhere to procedural guidelines and handle matters constructively and promptly.
10. Ensure health, safety, and welfare standards are met according to company policies and statutory requirements.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a customer service role is essential. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively is required. Experience in waste management is desirable but not essential.
