Our client, a prominent entity within the Defence & Security sector, is currently looking for an SC Cleared Mechanical Engineer for a contract position outside IR35. This role demands someone capable of integrating seamlessly into project teams to provide mechanical expertise on various products and systems. Key Responsibilities: Assist and liaise with project teams on mechanical aspects of products and systems. Design bespoke equipment in accordance with defence standards to enhance modern defence capabilities. Select materials, manufacturing processes, and integration methods suitable for the equipment's use. Provide technical advice to suppliers and internal departments to ensure product compliance with design intent. Advise and conduct testing to demonstrate compliance with Defence and International Standards. Support Quality and Production to ensure components and end products meet design intents. Assist off-site engineers with problem-solving, troubleshooting, and integration/testing of products and systems. Ensure all data and design decisions adhere to best practices to maintain traceability. Comply with all relevant Health and Safety requirements and practices operated by the client.
