Directorate Support Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Directorate Support Officer within the Radiology, Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering Directorate providing administrative duties and supporting the Clinical Director in Radiology and other Senior management colleagues across the Directorate. The role will be situated with the Directorate team and work alongside other coordinator roles. Carrying out typing duties associated with management of correspondence, reports, statistics, minute taking and other official correspondence and related clerical work as well as managing and responding to emails.

Main Duties
* Provide efficient, comprehensive directorate support & administrative duties for departments within Radiology, Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering (RMPCE), ensuring high standards at all times and in conjunction with department leads.
* Work as part of the RMPCE Team providing support to the Directorate Management Team and lead clinicians within the department where appropriate.
* Schedule meetings for staff, working alongside the Coordinating team.
* Use a number of IT systems for data entry and report generation.
* Liaise effectively with other UHB admin and clinical staff and communicate with staff, patients and relatives to answer queries and resolve concerns.
* Carry out typing duties associated with management correspondence, reports, statistics, minute taking and other official correspondence or related clerical work.
Qualifications
* Vocational Qualification Level 3 or previous secretarial or administrative experience.
* Knowledge of data protection and GDPR.
Experience
* Working in an office environment / with the general public.
* Experience of computer or IT systems.
Skills
* Prioritisation and organisational skills.
* Empathy.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and imaging targets.
* Knowledge of the Directorate.
