We’re excited to be recruiting for our Smoking Cessation Service in Birmingham — and we’re looking for a Part Time - Smoke Free Advisor to join us on this journey.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a service from the ground up and be part of something transformative. You’ll support people across the community to make meaningful, lasting changes — empowering them to live healthier, smoke-free lives.
Your interventions may be delivered in person or remotely, and can be tailored for individuals or delivered in group settings, depending on need. In everything you do, you’ll bring compassion, energy, and a strong belief in people's ability to change.

Location: Birmingham
Hours: Part Time, 18.75 hours per week
*Full Time Salary: £25,077.00 - £26,502.53 (pro rata for part time)
Contract Type: Fixed Term of 12 months
* Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
About the Role
5. Delivering high-quality stop smoking interventions that are tailored to individual needs.
6. Promoting the benefits of a smoke-free lifestyle through community engagement and local events.
7. Working within established protocols for NRT and e-cigarettes.
8. Providing training and support to local professionals (. brief advice, referral pathways, behaviour support).
9. Building awareness of the impact of smoking and encouraging positive lifestyle changes.
10. Accurately recording and reporting interventions using electronic systems.
About You
11. Experienced in a health or social care setting.
12. Knowledgeable about the harmful effects of smoking and the treatments available.
13. Skilled in behavioural support techniques, including motivational interviewing.
14. Committed to delivering person-centred, empowering support.
15. Competent in Microsoft Office and comfortable using electronic recording systems.
16. A clear communicator with a collaborative, team-focused mindset.
What we will give to you:
17. 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays. Additionally, you'll receive one extra day of annual leave for each year of service during your first five years, therefore you will enjoy 30 days of leave after five years with us.
