I am working on behalf of a supportive and nurturing primary school in the BD12 area that is seeking an experienced Year 3 teacher to join them after Easter. This full‑time position will run until July.
The RoleThe successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 3 class that includes a number of pupils who are currently working below age‑related expectations. The school requires a teacher who can deliver clear, structured learning, provide targeted support, and build pupils’ confidence through consistent routines and well‑paced lessons.A key part of the role will be establishing firm, fair behaviour expectations and maintaining a purposeful classroom environment where all learners feel secure and able to thrive.
Essential RequirementsThe ideal candidate will:
1. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Have recent teaching experience within KS2, ideally Lower Key Stage 2
3. Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create calm, orderly routines
4. Be confident in supporting low‑level or lower‑attaining learners, including adapting tasks and delivering interventions
5. Bring resilience, clarity, and a proactive approach to raising attainment
